Racial Pride Is A Lie

The Falling Soldier by Robert Capa

Lunar Perspective

Chorus 1
Let’s go. Let’s stop this war.
Let’s go. Let’s stop this war.
A fight to end a fight
That’s how it began
It’s a lie which needs to be ended.
For many people already died.
A fight to end a fight
That one line never changes
In our history books
NO! unless we try.

Verse 1
My feet are taught to run,
but not away from the problems.
These fists are taught to punch,
and I ain’t gonna abuse it.
Didn’t care much when I was younger
All it was about my lunches.
But one day when the sun goes down,
And no cops left in the town.
All the punk rockers.
All the peace lovers.
All, together as one.
Let’s sing together!

Chorus 2
Let’s go. Let’s stop this war.
Let’s go. Let’s stop this war.
A fight to end a fight
That’s how it began
It’s a lie which needs to be ended.
For many people already died.
A fight to end a fight
One line never changes
It doesn’t make any sense
Unless we try.

Verse 2
Army is a subtle way to call.
The point of war is killing your own.
‘Cause from the moon, I can see there are no borders.
All orders they sent, and friends that I’ve lost.
Lies they told. Innocent souls they have blindfolded.
Cold-hearted beats who feed on those oil rigs.
Democracy? Everything comes with a fee.
Flee is not the option. There’s nowhere to run.
This love is fantasy.
Nothing separates you and me.
Racial pride is a fucking lie.
Their words are fallacy.

Chorus 3
Let’s go. Let’s stop this war.
Let’s go. Let’s stop this war.
A fight to end a fight
That’s how it began
It’s a lie which needs to be ended.
For many people already died.
Tonight. It’s tonight.
Time to put this unavailing,
nonsense absurdity to the
death.

Army Graveyard, where our fallen soldiers rest

Dear winners and losers, are we, the one who entered the wars and exited those horrendous experiences,  happy with the final results?

And here I am, a grandson of a veteran, suffering directly from war chemicals. I firmly stand with my point: Racial pride is a lie. Don’t separate ourselves! Don’t live with those old stupid prejudices. Let’s be patient and solve problems in peace. Stop using fists and guns. Use reasons instead. Stop useless wars.

However, this is a long way to go and we need unanimity. We cannot just stop using “fists and guns” in day one. It is plain impossible and frustrating for us, those who wish to use less power. I’ve also been in many frustrating situations which power seems to be the only answer. But it is changing: People’s self-awareness, ego, narcissism, etc. This battle has many fronts. We can make this by winning every front bit by bit.

Side story about this draft song:
Initially, I wrote this as a song for my punk band Black Winged Doves. We couldn’t resolve it before our dues came. My friend had to come back to his hometown again…
Shortly after that, we disbanded.

  1. This post was worth browsing through many blogs today. In particular I am deeply touched by the text at the end of your article. It shows deep humanity, and I hope that sooner or later people in the media and people having political functions will read this.
